Dylan Larkin Scores in Detroit Red Wings Win Over Ottawa Senators

Dylan Larkin returned to play for the Detroit Red Wings on Tuesday, marking his first game since his trade request. He scored 13 minutes into the game against the Ottawa Senators at Little Caesars Arena, despite initial boos from the crowd. The Red Wings won the match 5-3. Larkin, teaming up with Alex DeBrincat and Lucas Raymond, played a key role in the victory.

The Detroit coach Todd McLellan, after confirming Larkin’s return post the morning skate, expressed high expectations for his performance: ‘We expect his best, every shift.’ Larkin, activated from injured reserve just before the game, managed to meet these expectations by scoring and assisting during his 26 shifts and over 20 minutes on ice.

Reflecting on the game, Larkin shared his mixed feelings but emphasized his focus on playing and helping the team. ‘It was a lot of emotions. But I think I’m just happy to be a hockey player today and go out and try to help the team win,’ Larkin said. His contributions were highlighted further by McLellan’s post-game remarks, ‘Without him tonight, I don’t know if we win.’
